Started Deep Learning Specialization

Enrolled in Andrew Ng’s renowned Deep Learning Specialization on Coursera to deepen my understanding of neural networks and prepare for my upcoming PhD research.

Course Structure

The specialization covers:

1. Neural Networks and Deep Learning: Fundamentals of deep learning
2. Improving Deep Neural Networks: Hyperparameter tuning and optimization
3. Structuring Machine Learning Projects: Best practices for ML projects
4. Convolutional Neural Networks: Computer vision applications
5. Sequence Models: RNNs, LSTMs, and Transformers

Why This Matters

While I have practical experience with deep learning, this specialization will:

• Solidify theoretical foundations
• Fill any knowledge gaps before starting PhD research
• Provide structured learning from one of the field’s pioneers
• Enhance my teaching abilities for future TA positions
